OSU reacts to plane crash
I barely understood the phone call, which woke me out of bed Friday at about 9 a.m. Editor: “Did you hear about the OSU plane crash, I need you to go to Stillwater now.” Me: “Huh? That was 10 years ago.” Editor: “No. There was another. You’re doing video.” I got up pretty quick and [...]
9/11: Bob Roe
Bob Roe is a busy man. Busier than he’d like to be. Since 2004, Roe has crafted, by hand, more than 500 albums for 328 families (and counting) of soldiers who lost their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq. Inspired by the loss of his younger brother in Vietnam, all Roe wants to do is say [...]
Gone Ballooning
First time ever up in a hot air balloon. Everything was running late and behind schedule, but the experience was awesome. I’m really thankful to Martin for allowing me up into his balloon for our brief flight, even if we did end of more than a mile off of our target. Be sure to check [...]

SALEM, Mo. — Another grueling day…left at about 5:30 a.m. for the drive down to Peck Ranch to tour the temporary holding pens for the elk scheduled to arrive next week. Did a few more interviews, and got lots of new footage. Also met with a cattle farmer who had some very strong criticisms of [...]
Timelapse: Blizzard edition
I set up a timelapse using a Nikon D2Hs camera and the intervalometer feature on the PocketWizard Multimax, aimed out a second floor window of our house. I programmed the shutter to fire every two minutes — it began recording at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday and set it to end recording at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. This [...]
