This being the second downtown race in two weeks that I had to shoot, I struggled a bit trying not to repeat compositions or styles I had done already. For the Tulsa Run, I focused most of my energy into shooting pre- and post-race moments, rather than the running itself. Also unlike the Route 66 Quarter Marathon, where I had free reign to go wherever I wanted, I was stationed at the start/finish (actually two separate but nearby locations) while two other shooters followed the pack of runners on the course. Obviously I had to get the standard shots of the starting pack and top finishers at the end of the line, but I had much moreĀ fun trying to pick out individual characters and finding moments like these in the crowd.
